Cheryl, the owner, ran her own successful handmade business, for 5 years - Personally Papered. She’s participated, curated, and hosted pop-up markets since 2014. Her portfolio includes retail management, social media management, and visual merchandising. Customer service and pretty displays are everything to Cheryl!

Our team is made up of makers. We’re all women. And all members of the handmade community and lifestyle.

When it comes to getting an invite to retail or pop-up with us, we use our brand standards. They’re mentioned in the below applications. We’re located in Whitby, minutes from the 401 and Thickson Rd, on a busy street, close to popular shopping and dining destinations (Landmark Cinemas and the SoftMoc warehouse), with ample parking.

To sell in store, makers and artisans must be within driving distance to us, 1380 Hopkins St. Whitby ON.

The Maker’s Hub retail model is based on low to moderate monthly rent with 3, 6, and 12-month terms. It includes selling both in-store and online.

Our dedicated team handles fulfillment. This includes online sales, communication, picking, packing, shipping (Canada wide), and in-store pickups. Giving you a larger marketplace, without giving you more order processing. That’s extra time on your side to do whatever you want!

Our shorter terms nurture our shoppers’ (the beloved Hubbers!) interests to visit often to see what’s new. Plus they give you an opportunity to try our model on a short-term commitment. Extensions and longer terms are granted based on, but not limited to, our business relationship, sales performance, market trends, seasonal demand, your ability to restock, and the application pool.

Cheryl, loves to merchandise and hunt for new displays. Which for you means no security deposits or display building. And that equals no added decisions, time or energy either. Amazing right?!?

Retail display rentals start as low as $40/month, average under $100/month, and go upwards to $200/month. This price includes in-store retail, e-commerce, and our fulfillment services. If you’re interested in additional storage over and above what your display can hold, we offer that too. Pricing for storage starts as low as $15/month and includes restocking services. Again, we’re finding ways to save you time and increase your sales!!

In our offer, we share a picture + dimensions of the display. As well as our vendor agreement.

Social media is a big part of how we advertise. As a vendor with us, we expect you to participate. We ask you to tag us in a post and stories minimum once a week. Before applying, can you commit? It’s important to us and the success of our community. Which includes you!

Different from the industry norm, we don’t charge our shoppers added service fees at checkout. We believe in full transparency for all our customers. You and them. Which is why purchases with us never include added and unexpected fees.

Not only is our award-winning multi-vendor website fun and creative, but it’s designed and maintained by leaders in the business. We will save you time and money by looking after upgrades, maintenance, graphic design, and all the little headaches websites bring with them.

Think about this, a basic Shopify site is $30USD/month and you still need to build it, maintain it, and drive all the traffic to it. Never mind when things don’t go the way you expect them too. That’s a lot of heavy lifting to do on your own. We know, we’ve been there.

We love our outdoor markets. They take place in front of our handmade boutique in Whitby, May – Oct, on the second Saturday of the month.

They're for you if you like connecting, collaborating, and in person selling.

You set up outside our handmade boutique. The location is super easy to find, minutes from the 401 and Thickson Rd. It's a busy street, close to popular shopping (SoftMoc Warehouse) and dining destinations (including a micro-brewery and deli!).

Our pop-up markets include a professional photographer capturing the moments. You'll receive two professional photos following the event. Which is great for your social media and website!

We give you support and inspiration as we lead up in our FB vendor’s group. It’s a great group for learning, networking, and asking questions before the event date.

Set up and tear down is the easiest around. You can drive right up to unload and pack up. Which also makes the pop-up wheelchair and stroller friendly.

In our invite we’ll offer you a date. We aim for your preferred date. If that date doesn't work, we’ll look for a date that does.

Our application is open to makers and artisans within driving distance of our store.

We’ll be in touch with all applicants.

During the last lockdown, we pivoted huge!

As a means to survive, we took our storefront and broadcasted a weekly LIVE Facebook shopping show. Our vendors thrived! Hitting sales better than Christmas. Some vendors seeing $500+ in sales in less than 5 minutes!! Crazy right?!?!

Cheryl, owner and founder, is a natural at sales and chatting in front of the camera. Combine that with her love and passion for supporting handmade and we've created the perfect recipe for a local handmade selling extravaganza!

Outside of all the fun, our FB Live Shopping Shows give us the opportunity to showcase each vendor, while connecting with the community in a unique way.

Each show is interactive and light hearted. Every table is beautifully curated and overflowing with handmade products from local makers and artisans.
