Maranta leuconeura ‘Kim’

This is a purple-spotted variety of prayer plant. Aside from the purple spots, the leaves have a cream-white streak for extra flair.

This plant is well equipped to deal with dry soil conditions and will not suffer if they are not watered for extended periods of time. If they stay wet for too long they are prone to root rot. Water when the plant is half dry.

Direct sunlight can scorch the leaves of the prayer plant and can quickly kill the plant. It prefers bright but indirect sunlight during the day and is generally tolerant of lower light areas, as long as there is good air flow.
